I was facing ahead where the road is, yeah. He like, came out of nowhere, from the right, or something, and hit my car.

Commander, UFO Bike
That is just too scary!
Problem is that the insurance would probably blame the cyclist for the crash...

Here, that guy juggles a cell phone, a cup of coffee and a cigarette... He just missed me, 'cause I think he dropped his cigarette mid turn.

In reality, if you don't think you've had a near miss in the last couple hours you spent on the road, you're just not paying attention. Think about it; if it were really possible to be such a good driver that even other people's bad driving can't endanger you, stationary objects would never be hit and trains would require major screwups on the train operator's part to ever hit a car.

I rarely have near misses driving, simply because I see & read the road ahead while driving. I see pedestrians, cyclists and cars that are going slower and the first thought in my mind is to time traffic in the other lane for the lane change & pass and go around them. And if that's not working out to where it's not going to happen, I brake and slow down, even come to a complete stop to leave the most vulnerable and at risk their space (pedestrians & cyclists) or in the case of motorists, the dumbest drivers their space, and we all know there are those don't have the faculties to operate a car door, that they should be operating a moving vehicle. That gif is a perfect example of one that simply has no business driving a vehicle.

I was nearly hit by a soccer mom, trying to drive, talk on the cell phone, correct the kids, and smoke a cig. She probably was drinking a coffee too. The fact she wasn't trying to take a sip is probably why I'm still here today.

Maybe she was hot for you. Any pictures? You can always stage a scenario like the OP to make your point/whine/rant even more exciting.
