Searching for a needle in a haystack: SIS compatible top/aero mount boss
Searching for a top/aero mount downtube shifter boss that will accept SIS shifters. It does appear that shimano made such a device:

What bike is this for? Some mounts are different sizes. I recently purchased a gipiemme mount that doesn't actually fit on my bike's frame, it's too small. Both shimano and suntour top-mount shifters (friction-only style) fit. It's probably only 1.5mm too small, so not the end of the world to fix with a little creativity.

The Gipiemme seems to be for a particular mount that is sort of shaped like an anvil. I had to order from Europe for that trinket.
SunTour and Shimano seem to have different proprietary mounts as well.

This is for a Novara Randonee. I believe it was made by Nishiki.

I looked up pics of the Novara Randonee, and it looks like it came with these shifters around 1983. However, it uses the clamp-on version of these shifters, not mounted on a boss, so you are not restricted to using top mount shifters. You will still need to figure out how to get indexing from clamp-on shifters, but I think a Huret clamp-on shifter mount can be modified to accept Shimano index shifters.

Thanks. I have one of those problem solvers adapters already. I will likely use it if I can't come up with something more elegant.

Maybe I’m missing something, but if you want indexing, and you are going to a clamp on shifter, why not just go with a stock Shimano or Suntour index shifters in the clamp on version? Thereare plenty of those around and have had some myself in the past, 105s if I recall.

I want to use a pair of 10 speed DA shifters I have. I have modified a clamp for other SIS shifters in the past to do 10 speed, but would prefer to use the top mount boss if possible.

I believe there was a post years ago, OMG have I been wasting time here for 13 years already, where someone used a indexing stem shifter mount to cobble something nice looking together.
