Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: I ride a Felt B16, 56cm. I am also building a bike. I started with a Schwin Phocus 1400 frame and have upgraded everything to Shimano Claris parts with a dual action shifter/brake.

I have no idea what kind of bike this is. I picked it up from a friend for cheap. I would love to know what type of bike it is so I can find out more about it...

Um, it's a dawes. Probably came from bikesdirect. Don't let that dissuade you, they're great bikes for the money.

If it's a real dawes, they were a pretty decent original brand. BD sells bikes branded as dawes now. They are still fine bikes for the money. Bsaically general geometry steel/aluminum w/ carbon road bikes.

I figured that out... What I didn't know what the model, so I didn't have any specs. So thank you. I also hadn't heard of Dawes before, so I was suspicious.

My 2012 Specialized Roubiax Pro SL3, with Ultegra 6700, Mavic Ksyrium SLR Wheels. Wish I had some money to get the Dura Ace, but I guess it can wait.

Apologies for the messy background.

It's a 49cm, I could have gotten a 52cm but I'm between sizes so I thought it would be better to get a smaller size.

That just looks off. The wheels don't go w/ the frame at all. Function over form I guess.
