Is that the old style? (I see now that it is).

The main differences are power balance and the 2032 cell.

Also the new ones are spec'd to a higher accuracy (1.5% vs 2%) and are claimed to not be sensitive to different chainrings. For example with the Cinqo, Praxis 110mmBCD rings are not recommended because they make the readings inaccurate. And even with chainrings that don't have that problem you have to use the wahoo fitness dongle and app to adjust the slope. Also the spider on the new ones is 44g lighter.

FWIW two days ago Chainlove had Powertap G3 hubs for $750. I came very close to snagging one...

not even in the same realm. That's a 5+year old wired srm. I think that price is fair at best. If it was wireless with a pc6 or 7 for that price it would be a great deal.
