My Carbone's are quiet. A little TOO quiet?

I recently got a set of new Cosmic Carbone SR's. I threw a cassette and some new ProRace3's on them, and took them out for a ride. Over the course of around 40 miles, the rear hub got quieter and quieter. I feel like when I started out the ride, they sounded like most other wheels I've been on (Ksyrium SL's, Carbon Vuelta XRP Pro's, even my PT hub). But by the end of my ride, they were SO quiet while coasting that I almost couldn't hear the pawls clicking at all.

Has this been anybody else's experience on the Carbones, or is this abnormal?

I had a set of Carbone SL's and they were silent, at least the freehub was. The rims are super loud.
