Since at one point, the Pharma industry pushed statins on as many people as possible, it will interesting to review the literature where groups of subjects selected on the basis of long-term statin users versus the individuals who succeeded in getting conned to use statins. [Statins are inhibitors of rate-limiting step in synthesis of cholesterol, the enzyme being HMG-CoA reductase. At higher dose of statins, muscle damage is a well-known side-effect.]
