Bianchi Road Bike KS314889
Bianchi Road Bike with Stamp at bottom of frame engraved is KS314889. The bike was semi stripped and sanded down so no label of the model. Bianchi logo on main frame and 'B' engraed on top of forks. Can anyone please help me identify the make of the bike. Model year I assume is 1989? Thank you Ash

The last time I saw a KS##### serial number was on my Kawamura-built 1971 Nishiki.

Points to a Japan-built frame, possibly a Limited if the frame isn't too heavy for 022 tubing.
You'll need to put up photos.
Only the first few digits of the S/N are likely to be indicative of the vintage.

I would assume 1983 until/unless @T-Mar corrects us.

I don't know if there is a year indicator in a KS serial number, since mine was a 1971 model, probably made late in 1970, maybe Jan. 1971 at the very latest. (Due to a dock strike and bike boom shortage, I was lucky to snag it in late March 1971. It had a defective rear brake cable stop, which my LBS had to braze and paint. I put about 40K miles on it, including a lot of tough climbs, until the seat tube lug broke away from the bottom bracket shell.) KS78091 -- go figure.

Tom saw my post (I never know if these notification things are going to work) and said it's a November 1983 frame, almost certainly for the 1984 model year.
Pictures are always welcome.
