a better bike than the mercier kilo TT?

I'm considering purchasing the mercier kilo TT. Are their other bikes with similar features that are better than the kilo for a similar price? What are your thoughts?!

There are reasons so many people ride Kilo TT's though...

Kilo is great bang for buck, but its not the best bike in the world. There is a reason why so many people ride the kilo. Good frame, cheap, decent parts that lasts. Recently, because alot of stores are doing clearance on last year models, alot of bikes went down to $350~450 range. Some of them include IRO Mark V and Schwinn Madison 09. You might want to look into those first, and also, if you are going to get a Kilo TT, just get a Kilo TT Pro, since you get a hella better crankset + better wheelset/formulas. def worth the extra $40.

I don't know if I'm overlooking something but the hubs on the Kilo TT Pro dont look like Formulas to me..

From BD:
"Hubs :TrackSpec High Flange Aluminum, sealed precision bearings Flip-Flop 120mm rear"

They are rebranded formulas. The pictures are pretty old, those were the first generation(i guess i could call it) kilo tt pros. I don't know if the picture is big enough,(i am too lazy to find my camera and take a picture of my hub) but this is my kilo pro with stock wheelsets.

They are formulas.

found a pic of my hubs that i took when i bought a new cog and lockring.
