Serotta Colorado Internal Cable Routing
Guys, I have a question on the internal brake cable routing of the 90s vintage Colorado frames. Does the entire housing go through the top tube or just the cable? if cable only, is it a pain in the ass to install the cable or is there a sleeve or conduit to easily feed the cable through? Reason I ask is I experimented with a Klein Quantum earlier this year and the cable installation of the Klein is a complete PITA, I will never again buy a bike with that characteristic. thanks

Upon closer inspection it looks like these Serotta frames have ferrules so only the cable itself goes in the tube. So my question is whether or not it is a pain in the ass to install these (like the Klein), or, is there some type of inner liner or conduit that makes it easy to feed the cable without any special effort.

That's exactly my question to the folks who have/know the Serotta frames. I'm just looking at them on line right now so have not had the chance to inspect them in person.

I have a 2002 Colorado III, All of my Cables are on the outside and run along the tubes. I don't think any of them were fed inside the tubes, but I could be wrong. Great riding bike! Still riding it after 15 years. Good luck
