Considering NOS 2014 Jamis Sonik
A shop owner / friend has a couple of 2014 Jamis Sonik track bikes that are NOS. Been considering buying one from him. All the fixed gear bikes I have owned have been lugged steel conversions. Planning on riding it on the road / street after adding a front brake.
Anyone have experience with these? Any big negatives? Real world info appreciated.

Jamis has a good reputation. If you want a totally uncompromising track bike, the Sonik is it. Definitely a lot stiffer and quicker handling than any lugged steel conversion. If you like to go fast and ride aggressively, the Sonik is your ticket. The biggest drawback that I can see is that the ride will be harsh, especially on rough roads.
