No, actually, it's quick and easy. The remover tool just bends the legs of the staple up, and a little wiggle works it free. With sutures, you have to clip the suture and pull it out, and make sure you get all of it out.

This one gave me some road rash earlier this week, at 0 mph yet. Tried to pull my foot out after coming to a stop but the toe clip had other ideas.
