Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Considering it, but not 100% sold on it.
I bought a top-end Specialized M4 in 1999 with less of a dent in the top tube from a Specialized dealer. I paid about 33% of retail, rode it many thousand miles, and the frame was warrantied by specialized when a chainstay broke unrelatedly. That was wothwhile but unfortunately I didn't love the replacement E5 as much as my beloved M4.

I would not ride that bike without removing the paint to see if a cracked, in aluminum you could have a massive stress riser which will show up at the worst possible time.

If I owned it, I would ride it. But I would not purchase it.

Aluminum doesn't like to be dented. It will eventually crack and tear. The nice thing about it is that it happens slowly, so it's not likely to be a catastrophic failure.

Wouldn't ride without a confirmation from a professional that the structural integrity hasn't been compromised. My life is worth more than 100$ or less. Better be safe than sorry!
