Constant Charging?
I have charging ports in the back of my car. It occurred to me that it would be really convenient to charge my bike lights there instead of constantly bringing them in and out of the house. Apart from cycling, they could also be useful as a flashlight or emergency flare. Would that over-charge them and ruin the battery? Would the heat mess up the battery?

If they're live without the ignition on, it's likely a slow charging setup. Most automobile built in usb ports are poor at charging speed.
If by chance they are live all the time, the devices are the limiter & should not overcharge.
keep in mind that if the interior is in the summer heat, it might not be healthy for the devices.
Otherwise, i wouldn't see it an issue for the devices.
it should not deplete the vehiclevehicle's battery given everything is proper & you don't leave it charging for a week without using the vehicle.
