A "quick" ten miles before breakfast and work turned into a slogfest when the skys opened up at the halfway point, the bike-lane, turned into a river, in places, water was 1" deep all across the road....the Orange/Red Blob in St Pete IS my 10 mile circuit! Some cleaning and lubing is in order....my poor Bridgestone!!

Out to Pierce Point in the Point Reyes National Seashore. A real variety of weather, 83 degrees when I left home in Lagunitas, 60 degrees, foggy, and windy on the point. That's the usual Summer pattern around here. Our best beach days are Fall and Spring.

Saw some seals at deep sea world.
Went inside the worlds smallest functional lighthouse.
There are people under that water scuba diving fun to watch.
Not sure what that is.
No C&V today, used my fancy fandangled bike.

We did 49.3mi on the tandem today, Bedford past Littleton, almost to Ayer, to check out a route we're taking some folks on for a mini-tour later this summer. Since we'll all be carrying loads I wanted to find some route options which avoided a few really steep hills. I think we found the key...
A GPS/map check in Harwood, technically part of Littleton, I believe. We've been here before. Some of today's roads were new to us.
Okay, so it isn't scenic. It's best I've got. So shoot me. No wait, Sharon already did. This is what came of it.
It was tough today, started out with medium heat but extreme humidity. I hit a wall at only 10 miles. We stopped and I ate a power bar and drank a lot of water. Then we stopped for lunch at a little pond in Chelmsford. After that it was much better.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
My friend dropped off the cat this morning so I took it for a spin down to the co-op and installed some fresh tyres and new brake levers with locks for parking... will wait until it cools off to do any more riding today.

Lampy... always such beautiful pictures and such a beautiful place.
I went out for a short ride tonight and stopped at the Italian deli to get ingredients for Greek salad and met some old friends at Spinellis and enjoyed catching up with them and the best Americano in the city... also got to play with my buddy Rusty who is my friends massive puppy.
When I got home my puppy had to go for a ride... she's 10 now and has loved bicycles since she was a puppy and was pretty happy to jump my lap and enjoy the breeze while we went up and down the block. She did not want to get off when I stopped.

I rode up to Stampede Pass from my home in North Bend.
The Singer was great for this route
Lunch by the Lake
Before the final climb up to Stampede Pass
I returned via the same route
Refilling the waterbottles at Hyak
And through the tunnel one more time
2 miles later I am back in Western Washington
Double flatted on the way down from the tunnel. Oh well, sometimes these things happen.

Thanks Sixty. And I think you have the perfect bike there for puppy carrying. Much harder to do on an upright machine!

Also nice shots, northbend. (And wow, nice bike!) I had to look up Stampede Pass on Google Maps, and it looks like there are tons of forest/logging roads in that area. I'd love to ride on those! There are a few up here in my neck of the woods too, but I'm not even close to being fit enough to ride all the way to them, let alone climb them! Maybe some day.

Okay, you guys win. Norway and Washington are the places to ride. Beautiful pics. So can we get on with the rest of life now? 
After yesterday's humidity-fest we did a recovery ride of only 25.5 miles. No scenic pics today, just these humble offerings.
Taking the bike out of the car. My sweetie likes these action shots. (Shield your eyes from the reflection.)
Looking for a parking space at a favorite lunch spot. (So many wheels, so little steel.)
The perfect lunch:
The high clouds gave us a rainbow though there wasn't a raindrop to be found anywhere:
On the way back to the car we stopped for a rest in Concord and spoke to a fellow riding a Co-Motion touring bike. He said it weighed 30lbs unloaded. When I questioned it he said go ahead and lift it. Wow. It was heavier than my upgraded UO8 with rack and lights. But he was big guy, probably 6'5" and the frame was big.

I rode 53 miles today on my De Rosa. Humid and overcast, at times foggy with a light mist. Around 75 degrees. Mostly in Scituate, Coventry and West Greenwich RI.

Just a quick ride in Prospect Park today. I had terrible luck with flats on my way there... time for new tires. These Veloflex Masters only lasted about 800 miles
