Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have an old friend who’s built like you. Nary a gram of body fat. Gets cold much more easily than us more normal folk, who are naturally insulated.

I never would have bought one, but this one was given to me. It makes a hot sunny ride much more comfortable. Taking the shade along with me.

True. But I’m over 70 and the only recreational road rider anyone around here ever sees. They probably think it’s normal. There are mtb riders around and about.

No speed for me. Wind can be a problem. I averaged in the neighborhood of 18 kph today. Ridiing like an old man

I'm going to abdicate my one week reign of the Strava leaderboard for the week. I took today off after 13 straight days and my wife is telling me that I probably won't ride tomorrow because she wants me to chauffeur her to the big city for shopping.

Settled the total loss claim on the Buick today.

Going to drive 4 hours round trip to look at a car tomorrow. Fingers crossed it works out because we lose our rental on Monday.

Cyber truck crash aftermath, good thing it didn't reach the sign. Apparently today someone tried to drive one on the beach with tyres at road pressures, got stuck and got a ticket for driving on the beach...

Like Neil Young said, Soup never sleeps

Of course he once actually said "The gravy doesn't matter."

Possibly the most sacrilegious line in rocknroll.

Surely he wasn't referring to Wavy Gravy.
