Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

He has not driven it in 6 months, and turns 90 later this month. He seems to think he may still be able to drive, I am not so sure.

Could definitely use a shampooing inside but the interior is in great shape overall.

But it runs and drives great, and we’re very happy.

No dings and scratches for a 15 year old car, amazing! You must park well away from the supermarket entrance, as do I.

Here's a nice shot of a harrier in the Palo Alto baylands.
They’re alternately called Marsh Hawks for their affinity to those areas.

That’s a nice shot.

There are 3 or 4 rock chips in the hood that went down to the metal, one spot on the roof that I found, a little bit of rash on the forward front left wheel well, and a little bit of clearcoat scuffing on the driver side passenger door which would probably come out with a bit of polishing.

But no major dents or body panel damage.

I ran it through an automatic wash yesterday - need to take it to a manual place so I can scrub it a bit more and really see what I'm working with.

I like it and the body looks near perfect. Do I need a 50 year old truck? No but it could be a fun project. Been Jonesing to get something for a few years but can't really afford to start dumping money every month.
Last project I had was a 77 GMC but I sold it around 20 years ago. Had a/c and I put an overdrive transmission in it. Drove nice but sucked up the fuel.

I get to spend 7 hours traveling Sunday for work. One of the worst things about traveling out of Albany is the ridiculous layovers. Any time I fly anywhere it seems I need to spend 3 hours at LaGuardia.

on the bright side, I’ll be in sunny FL for 3.5 days. On the downside, there will be no cycling (but plenty of running).

No NY schools are good at anything else but you don't see them there, either.

Fortunately dodge ball is not an alternative here AFAIK, although I can't speak for the Adirondacks.

Short rant: I need to change the battery in my Garmin HRM and I found out it has T5 torx screws. When did they change that and who keeps a T5 just laying around?
