I tried that, but you have to accept that they may not have the same enthusiasm for biking. My wife quite likes easy mountain biking and one of our two daughters enjoys riding occasionally, But our other daughter just isn’t interested at all. None of them will ride on the road and I don’t blame them. Fortunately we have some nice off-road trails at the door so we do sometimes ride together as a family, but very rarely these days.
I have to accept that they have nowhere near the same enthusiasm for biking. My wife likes to ride, but will only go 20 miles or so, and only when the weather is not too hot or too cool. Our oldest daughter will occasionally go with us, and we have fun taking her son in a trailer. The other two daughters and our sons-in-law have no interest at all in bikes. Our son goes every now and then, but generally is not into it. We have enough bikes for most of our family to go on a nice ride together, but this happens very rarely... hardly ever, in fact.

Summary: Key to finding time to ride is to find job with very flexible hours or retire. Now I all need to figure out is how to get rich enough to get from the former to the latter.

So when I had kids at home, as my wife is a RN and had to be at work early, so she went to bed early, kids were in bed early, so I went for rides. Typically after 9 pm. Some nights I might started after 10 pm. It actually worked out well as I live in Florida, so the temps were lower. Some nights I might be out for 2 or 3 hours, but generally went out for about 1.5, did 20 to 30 miles. I did this for about 4 or 5 years.

Go to bed early, get up early, work from home with no commute.
I’ve been off this summer but in the winter usually go to bed at 9:15 and get up at 4:30

I'm an early bird too. So during the week I normally try and squeeze in an hour or so before work.
And then on weekends, wife gave me a hall pass every Saturday morning.

Retired. The time I have. It's the energy that I have trouble with.

Everybody has their own priorities and sense of needs and responsibilities. You sound like you value time with the family as well, so remember that riding every single day is not necessary to be healthy. Considering the time it takes to get everything ready and put it all away (as you mentioned), doing a 2-3 hour ride three times a week might accomplish the same goal more efficiently. I couldn't imagine riding every single day with my son's (just the one) swim classes and orthodontist appointments, and any other regular errands that come up (oil changes, haircuts, late work day, etc.) but if you can squeeze it in and are happy with it, great! Just be sure to make a routine. I gave up cycling completely when we had our child because I couldn't (or wasn't willing to) seem to balance it, and 8 years and 65lb later I regretted it, especially at the doctor's office.
This reminds me of when my wife teased me that I'd "probably rather be married to" her coworker who takes care of the household with 4 kids while her husband does 70-120 mile bike rides every Saturday plus a shorter ride every Sunday. It actually doesn't sound good to me because I want to balance it with some family time. I get a couple of 1 hour rides in on weekdays (longer if I'm off work) and a longer one (4+ hours) on Saturday or Sunday, and that's a nice balance... for me.

Yup... That's the irony of the thing. Lots of time, but less energy. Between 0-50 years, you have lots of energy, but not much time.
I'm in my mid 30s and have started to work less recently to invest more time in my hobbies. Not always possible, but having that in mind (the ''I won't have this energy anymore at some point'') helps me better prioritize.
