Speaking of wind, today’s wind report during my ride was 23 mph sustained with gusts to 37 mph. I did everything I could to hide from the wind. My wife, bless her soul, said that she was taking the day off and “have fun.”

From SRAM’s site: “The CR2032 shifter batteries used in all eTap AXS electronic drop bar shifters will last about two years under normal use (estimated at 15 riding hours per week).”
Seriously, a low Di2 battery moves all power to the RD and in the case of eTap, you put the remaining good battery in the rear to get home, same situation as losing a FD cable.
Since 2017, I’ve only had an eTap battery die once and I got home fine on the rear. I did have a Di2 battery go low last winter on the trainer. Plugged it in and got back on the trainer.

Since SRAM bought Hammerhead, apparently Shimano has withdrawn allowing its products to communicate with the Karoo.
