All I stated is that I've been able to purchase bikes and bike parts as needed when needed. Again...it's not all doom and gloom.

I bet I'm on that same email list. Despite that supposed good news, they were still out of Shimano 11 speed chains and the appropriate disc brake pads that I regret not stocking up on 2 years ago.

The people like me on the supply side of industry. We're getting sick of you saying there's nothing to it, it's overblown. At least, I am. We're trying to provide some insight here, and you're saying it's all BS. You're buying your liittle 1 and 2 counts here and there like a typical consumer. Meanwhile, the actual suppliers are telling you there are problems down the line and you won't believe them.

Are you sure about Toyota? I can't find anything that states that you can't get a gas truck from them.

Meaning doom and gloom from people on this forum, other bike forums, facebook and other social media sites. My comment wasn't directed at those on the supply side of the industry.

No. What I said was "Just getting sick of hearing all the doom and gloom in the bike industry that isn't"

So your position is that, because you’re doing well financially and I’m have been able to source the parts you want, there are no issues for the people who have lost their jobs and are not able to buy parts, because the supply of parts factually underserves the demand? Do you realize how incredibly self-centered that sounds?

Cue a response that that’s not exactly what you’re doing.

Your employment was to art of your basis for expressing frustration that other people stated they are not doing well. Your position, again, is that because you’re doing well, you don’t want to hear that there are real issues for other people. And you are doing an amazing job of trying to deflect from the fact that you just don’t want to have your bubble poked by even a mention of fundamental issues in the world.
Your attempt to somehow tie in my employment status with the availability of bikes and bike parts is an epic FAIL.

Didn't you just comment that you had to be more savvy to find bike parts online? You don't think that the cascading inventory shortages, first from LBSs, then general sporting goods, then large online sellers, leaving only relatively small pockets of inventory from which to scrounge, is a sign of serious supply issues? Okay.

edit: and that HG601 doesn't even come with a QuickLink for that price.

The largest supply warehouse in the state is using cardboard shelving because they could not get metal shelving for 9 months.
I am curious. Have you ever been employed in a manufacturing facility with a complex material sourcing strategy and just in time inventory system? I ask because it seems you have no idea what you are talking about.

Again...people need to think outside the box. Other sources besides Amazon as well...

Is this what you all want this to degenerate into? Is name calling and insults all you have? State your case without the snark, please.
