Appears figure seen astride a bike in the machine's seat tube transfer is drawn to represent the great Mexican film star Cantinflas,
AKA Mario Moreno, real name Mario Fortino Alfonso Moreno Reyes.

Or, could that be Pancho Villa on the seat tube decal? He's wearing a pistola.

Really cool old bike.

No, the Carerra used a knock-off of the Nervex Pro lug, this Saeta appears to use genuine Nervex lugs and the BB shell too, plus the forkcrown which tells me that the tubeset has to be something rather good. I'd guess at minimum a Reynolds "A" set (which Zeus liked to spec.) or 531 in metric dimensions. measure the OD of the 3 mains and tell us the seat post size. I also love those graphics, PLEASE preserve them!

If your sale falls through, pm me. I would love to clean this up.

Man, looking back on this thread I really regret letting this one go. I wish I would have kept it and done the clean up/preservation myself... What a cool find that was.
