Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am disappointed in this thread. All these pics, yet not one person has made the obvious joke of posting a pic of his bike in the desert, standing next to a paper cup of water!

Alas, I won't be breaking this trend either.

Another bike by frozen water picture.

There was a rare early spring snow Monday morning. I was able to get in about a 45 minute ride before work. Nice, pretty, sticky snow that was mostly melted away by 4:00pm.

I was going to post my latest bike-near-water photo in here, but it's not a mountain bike. So I started a similar thread for mountain bikes in their respective forum: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ike-near-water

Hopefully I'm not the only roadie here who occasionally likes to adventure offroad as well!

Everything is going to bust out green there any day now! I like that you managed to match the color of your drink to the frame....that's what I call attention to detail

You wouldn't believe how worried the guy was that I was riding with. The water was running pretty fast and not sure how deep it was.

My thoughts exactly! I saw that and the next picture I was expecting was one from his buddy that took a picture after he dove in after it.
