Luggage
My bike has no rack mounts and I have no desire to continue with a sweaty back. While not against a bar bag, I prefer a large seat bag. I have a clamp on topeak, but really like the large canvas bags. The carradice SQR(I don't know the model but it's huge). Are there other bags that are worth considering? I have a brooks so loops are availabe. Ideally I could lug lunch, shoes, and a change of clothes or enough supplies for unsupported centuries.

This looks great, but the DIY in me thinks one could make one without trouble from either a spare backpack or, more likely, from bits of luggage and travel bags at WalMart.

My husband bought a bike yesterday actually; and it too doesn't have rack mounts. He did get this though, a TransIt rack that attaches to seat post as opposed to the actual frame mounts. It only holds 25 lbs; which is definitely enough for a laptop, some shoes, papers, clothes, lunch.

^ Oh, I'm sure it wouldn't be nearly as pleasing to look at. It does make me want to check out the equipment/camping/camera/travel bag section the next time I'm in a store, though. Even just looking at my camera bag, I could easily see this strapped behind one of my seats without much trouble.

I have both Carradice Barley and Gilles Berthoud handlebar bag. Like both. The GB is handy for ease of access while the Barley is easy to attach with just saddle loops, though benefits from a support frame like the Bagman ... if you can find one anywhere!
