Looking good!
You can also post it in the Classic & Vintage forum in the Show Your Vintage MTB Drop Bar Conversions-thread if you ever convert it to a drop-bar setup.

I did some one-nighters and maybe a two-nighter, with rear panniers and a handlebar bag. A solid platform IMO, though I'd want more hand positions for a longer tour or long days.
I think other than tires and fenders it was pretty stock.

Here's my Rockhopper Comp tourer. North Roadbars, spd/flat pedals, ergo grips wrapped with cloth tape, etc.. I like it a lot!

That looks great! Mine's a 2000 or so that looks like it's the same frame. What stem are you using? I had to cut the OEM one off when I replaced the steering head bearings and replaced it with a shorter version that was at the shop - it's not the same as what I'm used to.

I had a 1992 Stumpjumper. I loved that bike and today it would be a kickass tourer, but I lent it to a friend and it got stolen. I can almost forgive my friend, but I will never forget that bike.
