vuelta a españa 2022-fantasyland! *spoilers!*
alright you maniacs, this is the official fantasy game thread for the 2022 vuelta! yah...we're gonna have some spoilers in here.
won't bore you with the many reasons why this is my fave gt of the year; i'll just bore you in general throughout.
an absolutely dynamite roll call of riders participating. this is going to be outstanding.
https://www.velogames.com
league name: bike forums
league code: 539488111
deadline to register is 18:15 cest (central european summer time) on friday, august 19th, 2022. that is 17:15 in the uk, and 12:15 on the us east coast.
make sure to read through the rules and scoring system as it'll likely affect your rosters. if you've recently participated before, your team should be automatically included in the "bike forums" league. if you're signing up for the first time or the first time in a while, welcome or welcome back! you may need the league code to hop into the league.
looks like the stage hunter game within the game is back. dunno how to actually maximize it but could say the same about the classic game-so there.
if you did well/figured out stage hunter during the tdf, more power to ya. i'll recognize the top three (will likely be some overlap) of both the classic and stage hunter games for those fabulous virtual no-prizes.
as always, people can join late but for the purposes of virtual no-prizes and podium placings, not recognizing teams/participants not in the league by the start of stage 3 of the vuelta.
good luck to all! have always found doing the fantasy game to increase the enjoyment of the actual event and expecting this to be no different. ¡viva la vuelta!

on vacation and really really don't feel like researching 4-pointers and 6-pointers currently so negotiated the roster to eliminate nearly all those considerations.
of course, we'll have several 4-pointers go for 775 points and a few 6-pointers crack 1,000 points. it is la vuelta after all. there are an absolute ton of fab 8-12 point riders
in the mix...that is where the battle will be won or lost.

I threw team v1 together pretty conservatively, bargain hunting my way along, and got to the end with no need to slum for 4 pointers plus enough left over for Roglic as my wild card.
I sure hope he and J-V are paying lip service to his injury the same way they did for WVA.
Of course, I have not yet begun to perseverate and there's a strong chance team vLast looks nothing like what is sitting in the hopper right now.

me is hoping he’s off jv’s roster for the race for whatever reason so i’m forced to pick someone else.
feeling dirtier than usual.
little louis m had a really nice tdf…he’s on the dtm list as well…hmmm…maybe this should be the bob marley “redemption song…er…tour.”
just pick all the dtm candidates…and there are plenty. will run that team and post in a spell for giggles.

How are you displaying the team like that?
I can't seem to duplicate that view.
I have 11% overlap with ooga and 33% with Shadco.

Windows key + shift + S gives you a snapshot select tool that puts whatever rectangle you select with your cursor into the clipboard (the copy/paste thing). You need a file. If your machine doesn't save screenshots automatically, open something like Word, paste the photo, then Save As a pic.

Team v4 and last is in the hopper. Now it's all over but the regrets.
I kept a record this time of all the folks I swapped out. I think in past races, my memory of who I seriously considered tended to stretch and magnify my many mistakes. So now, not only am I feeling GREAT about my final choices, I'm intentionally minimizing my non-choices. This will be awesome. Yeah, that's the ticket.
¡Hasta Madrid, amigos!
