That nerd disc needs to go!
That pump is a bit excessive, but hey it is your choice. Have fun on your bike.

That's not the most practical place to store your frisbee.

What do you mean the pump is excessive? Should I just man up and walk home if I get a flat?

I guess he thinks a frame pump (which is what you have, as opposed to a mini pump or a CO2 inflator) is excessive...which is certainly isn't. I'd rather have a frame pump, but can't find one I like enough to replace my CO2 system. It's a pump, fer cryin' out loud...and it looks good on your bike.
The dork disk is so bike shops, who don't have the time or desire to pull a bike from the box and give it a full tune up, can put the brand new bike on the rack for test rides without fear of having prospective buyers throw the chain into spokes.
A dork disk becomes irrelevant with a decent derailleur adjustment. To remove it, either take it to the bike shop and ask them to remove it for you, or buy a cassette lockring removal adaptor socket and a chain whip and do it yourself. Or, you could just carve away at it with a Dremel or tin snips until you can break it off.

I am new into road biking.
I originally had a Murray X12 that I rode for about a week, then my friend found me a 1987 Schwinn LeTour.
That is what I ride now and I have been riding it for about a week and a half or so. I love it, it is a great starter bike and I figure I will keep it when I buy a new bike for next season.

Commuter Bike Rack for Softride?
I'm looking to get a pannier/rack installed on my Softride (650cc). I've seen one a Softride with a rack, but I'm not sure which racks are compatible with the Softride frame design. (Obviously, the seatpost racks aren't going to work.) Any Softride owners have a rack on there bike? I'm trying to get one, but I'm not sure which to get. I'd like to start commuting with it, and not have to carry everything on my back.
Thanks!
Thanks!
