DI2 won't connect to E tube
I added an EW-WU111 wireless unit to my Ultegra DI2 bike. Loaded E-TUBE on my iPhone and connected no problem. I have a Garmin computer that is connected as well.
Been riding for awhile with no problems. So I wanted to make some changes and opened E-Tube app on phone and it won't connect again. It sees the DI2 but tries for a moment then says Bluetooth connection failed.
I deleted app and reloaded but no luck. Any suggestions?

Are you trying to log in to Shimano first? I remember when the app was updated, I tried to log in and it created an error. It worked if you bypass the sign in and just connect. Not sure if that is your problem or not.
Other thing is did you mess around and try to change the passcode perhaps?

When I first set it up, it made me add/change the passcode. Now when I try it has never made it far enough to ask for one.
I have tried both ways, logging in and not. Both ways sees the DI2 but when I click for it to connect it starts then 15 seconds later it says Bluetooth fail to connect.
When I search this problem online not much comes up. So I must be the only idiot to not know how to do it.
Next ride I will swing by a shop any see if they have any luck

So you have never connected since you changed/established the passcode?
Can you close everything down and get to where it asks for a passcode? If you can get to the passcode screen you could try the original password and see if that works.
I can't remember, but I think/thought the EU -WU111 default passcode is "1111"

Following up with the fix if anyone else has this problem.
No matter what I did it would say "Bluetooth LE connection was interrupted. Try connecting again" with the e-tube app.
I went into my phone Bluetooth setting and deleted the EWWU111 from the list. Retried e-tube and it connected!

No Di-2 Bluetooth connection
I recently tried to update my firmware, but lost Bluetooth connection while updating the EW-WU111 wireless unit. My LBS repaired and updated using the PC connection, but my bike would not connect to either the Garmin or E-Tube app. Re-updated with PC connection, but no change. The E-tube app kept identifying the wireless unit by its name, so it clearly "remembered" its settings.
I deleted the bike from the E-tube app, as well as the Bluetooth lists on both the Garmin and my iPhone. No luck.
Then I remembered that I had changed the Passkey many years ago. Re-deleted from the Bluetooth lists, and used my PC and the E-tube PC app to reset the Passkey to "000000".
Voila! Everybody connects
