Like a bridge over a troubled roadway ..........
This is the bridge over the Southern State Parkway at Eagle Ave with cars coming back from their weekend adventures.
The bike is a Lambert.
The bike is a Lambert.

Okay, I'll Play
Mostly because I want to show off my "new", 50 year old bike, but also because I went and found a bridge today so I could participate in this thread:

The rains have returned to central Illinois!!
The farmers are happy, although I'm not as happy about being caught in the big storm that came through on Thursday a bit after noon. The wet stuff was okay... I had rain gear and fenders. It was the 80 to 100mph winds that made me seek a bit of shelter! After the worst of the winds passed, I was able to take the MUP home, and only had to hop over a couple of fallen tree limbs.
Today was better, although I was still rained on twice. Prior to the rain, I stopped on Heinz road at the point where it passed over I-74 just west of Peoria. Given the lack of visible corn or soybean fields, you'd hardly even know you were in Illinois!

On a bridge over the Mosel near Bernkastel with the Sensa hybrid bike provided by the barge and bike tour my wife and I are on.
And here it is on a bridge over the Mosel near Piesport while the barge we’re touring on is passing beneath. Each day after breakfast, the barge lets off the passengers with our bikes so we can bike with a guide to the next rendezvous town while it cruises there.

New thread idea - Bikes on Bridges near Bridges.
Too specific?
Selkirk Landing area, Victoria BC
Still consider this commuter experiment a complete success. Will replace the seat in time and better tires, but I had to be certain I'd think it was worth it.

On bridges, how about bikes under bridges?
I took a wrong turn and I just kept going and ended up at the Kirkfield Locks on the Trent Canal.
One side being repaired.

... especially the northeast portion!
I grew up a bit south of Dubuque, which the glaciers seem to have skipped. Very unlike the relatively flat area of central Illinois where I live now.
Here's a shot from a ride near Spragueville, Iowa, which is not all that hilly, but continuous hills like this do take a toll.
