Bhkyte - thanks for the tip. Meant to post ages ago. The chainguard came with it

Not that I'll be on it for a while. The Doc has said I shouldn't ride for 6 months!

First and foremost, a genuine wish for a fast, seamless regenaration of your arm!

Please consider a white, ivory or light yellow bike and name her Humerus! That will be a conversation starter, mating magnet machine!

Got radiographic documentation? Post them!

And lastly, congratulations on your attitute: research shows faster recovery for those with good humer, I mean, Humor!

4 months after buying the bike, and of course 4 months after breaking my arm, I'm finally about to go and pick the bike up! In fact I haven't seen it since I bought it as it's been sitting in a friend's office.

Tomorrow's the day - not that the Doc has signed me off to ride it yet

The snapshots on the forum looked like pictures of damage to your stem riser until I clicked on them and they magnified.

Nasty break. Glad it's healing.

Have fun! You deserve some good times with that bike for waiting so long...

As a physiotherapy student, I was going to ask why the delay in getting back to the bike if its just a "broken bone", but now i see the xray!!! Full credit yo you, no half measures!!

Thanks guys. Yes, it's been an incredibly long and tiresome wait. I'll be taking it to my LBS to have the 10 chain ring fitted later today.

As for riding, it's still a bit iffy. I tried my Hybrid over the weekend and hell it's uncomfortable.

bhkyte - it's going to be a long series of visits to see your colleagues!
