Crap arrived on my doorstep, and was packed to the rafters and developed a small hernia.

...could not resist the Veloce crankset (very generous! and because with my added crap I couldn’t fit it back in anyhow.

The Park bottle opener is a classic and will wear the box of crap sticker.

Single speed freewheel and brake pads will get the most immediate use, methinks. The skewer actually completes a “pair” for me.

Slight hernia in the BOC...

The reveal

All packed for the next victim.

My take.

Just as Bloomington, IN is host to the Little 500, it is in the loop with the Little B-o-C. Our illustrious Crapmaster heard a plea and generously responded. In the spirit of the BoC...

The saddle and headset will definitely be finding their way to the Romic that I don't expect to have finished until at least next spring. That little black item with the clamp strap is a bell, and I will be taking bids from my bikes for that - although it may just go straight to the tandem.

Pedals will probably go to my little-bitty cross bike, with the existing going to either the guest bike or the trainer. Shifters will go to the guest bike because I don't think my wife's daughter's husband is a downtube shifter kinda guy.

Stem and pads... tbd.

Thanks, Honk!

Good thoughts today for jdawginsc who apparently did not just strain himself picking up the exalted Box O' Crap. It seems he has gotten a hernia from lifting it (As should be customary here a disclaimer for participants about willing and voluntary participation in the game.). However he has been injured, and I trust all the players will forward a bit of empathy toward him. He is scheduled for repairs in the very near future, and I have high hopes he will be back in the saddle soon. Good luck Jdawg!

Haha. It was only 31.2 pounds so doubt that. Already had it... just wanted to finish it off right with a big box!

Sympathy SunTour Superbe parts can be sent during recovery....

Thanks for the positive vibes...I am going to be bored out of my gourd for a few weeks.

That suggests to me that the BoC wasn't packed tightly enough. It needs more stuff if it's to resist pressure from the outside.

The mini BOC has arrived!

Stronglight headset & one wheel’s worth of cantilever …

… and a fork! About to measure everything before installing!

Many many thanks to Mad Honk! With any kind of luck the ‘86 Cannondale ST400 will be rolling in the not too distant future!

BoC on its way to its next victim!

My take:

It was a bumper yield! (particularly the orphan cyclone caliper whose parts will be duly raided)

Once the top edges of the metal liner was straightened, I used these plastic corner protectors on the top corners. Unlikely to make a huge difference, but here’s hoping.

Upon departure:

It took me over an hour of attempting to close the box and re-arranging parts before I could even get the top flaps to come close to each other. Departure weight was 29 lbs, with a slight bulge in the top. Occupied the postal employee with friendly banter enough to distract so the ballooning box could pass muster. To be fair, I occupy everyone with friendly banter, ulterior motives or not.

Panzerwagon,
Glad a few of my additions made it your way. And thanks for looking out for the box liner. As always looking for new players to sign up to play. As can be seen from the takes postings there are always some nice and valuable items that the BOC gives to the players. The good Karma from the box seems to always deliver just when a player needs some item. Smiles, CrapMaster Honk

Glad you’ll find use for the cyclone black brake. Impossible to find a mate so spare parts is probably for the best.

Austin: "Hello Portland!"

BOC arrived in P-Town. I've had a weird, hectic summer, so very little wrenching or riding, sadly. Feeling generous with parts, so hopefully something in here will spark interest and make space in the ol' box!

Filled to the brim!

Woof. Here's my take. There's usually some clearly borked stuff I can get rid of to make room for some of my sweet scrounge-age, but this thing is chock full of... At least I can dispose of this totally borked plastic bag. Messaged Pompiere, and I'll ship it off as soon as I get his deets. Better luck, gentlemen!
