Today was supposed to be a great day - picking up a new folder
But it was not to be.
Didn't see the ice on a wooden bridge and went down with the bike. Went to pick it up and thought "where the hell is my left arm?" Certainly not pointing towards the bike like my upper arm was.
I then realised that the deadweight in my jacket sleeve which was at 180 degrees to my upper arm was my very broken arm. Snapped humerus; just like some of the gross videos on YouTube
So, no new folder for me today, or tomorrow.
Be careful out there folks in this weather.

Yikes! That sucks....I hope the healing process is fast and you recover fully. I had a similar bad crash years ago on a metal bridge and narrowly avoided being run over by a car that was following me.

Bridges do cool off faster than pavement laid on the ground, as you unfortunately confirmed .
think Ill pump up the tires with the studs in them , just to keep the temperature above freezing ..

LBS has ordered the chain ring from the D10, which I hope will stop it from feeling under-geared.

Did you also get the chain guard as the standard version is too small? Birdie make a guard for 56t. It will only make a tad of difference, I would go for a IGH myself ,let me know what you thick of the mod as I have never tired it without the upgearing of dual drive on my bike. My black bike is 56t.
