Windy crit where I bashed on the field for a bit but squat to show for it. I saw @shovelhd and also heard that a certain dynamic duo who did some weird stuff in our race got DQ'd in a later race. Obligatory hidden gut shot courtesy of the Mrs:

After a solid try with a new frame resulting in a shorter+lower position, I think I'm going to try a bit longer stem.

A bit more artsy:

Oh hey we have the same bike! Although I think I will put a funda team fork on it and regular brakes. The front brake is sooo mushy.

Mine works great, as does the one on my TT bike. I use Nokon cables. Makes a huge difference. It is finicky on set up, but if you get it right it works well.

That looks sweet. The hs mtb race happened yesterday up at snowbasin in similar conditions + snow. Haven't seen pictures yet, but I love these epic mud shots.

Did he win?

I doubt it, but I don't know, I don't ask, I don't look. This is a fun/training thing that keeps him in the game. He is altogether too cautious to win these things IMO. I'm OK with that.

The first round was all over the place from people on mountain bikes blowing up 1/3 of the way through, to fast guys actually having to push it for top 4 of 8.

Then in semis only 1/8 made it to finals. I was last at 7.3w/kg for 1:44

My teammate did 1:23 in the first round but flubbed the clip in and had not much left for the second round. He weighs like 50 lbs less than me. Winner was 1:15 ish. Idk what that is, 9 or 10 w/kg?

Picture from Z5 racing team on facebook. I'm using the new Giro Vanquish, which has the integrated visor. Usually not a huge fan of them because I think they look dorky, but this one feels cool. It's real nice helmet.
