Made it to 84 WHOOPIE
I was doing some stretching and working with rubber bands outside on the lawn while my wife was at a medical appointment, where she did not want me to be with her. Of course, someone had to ask me "if I was okay?”
I told the fat lady, excuse me, overweight lady, that she could exercise with me if she would like and that I was fine. She declined.
This has happened to me several times when I am doing similar activities. I guess it comes with being 83yo? Or whatever. When I do my exercises at the swimming pool, they all know I'm the crazy old guy, so they don't ask anymore!

Made it to 84 WHOOPIE
I had an hour to either waste sitting in the car or get some exercise and stretching in. I chose exercise and stretching. And I would proclaim that hopefully I'm not "normal."

1st thing is a belated 
No fooling and no schitt --- Morning of my 50th I got up, went into bathroom, looked in the mirror and told the image looking back that being 50 means you likely have less time left to live than already lived so get your ass in gear and enjoy what's left AND before you die you will be told you have cancer.
I have done my best to enjoy life and part of that has been to ride as much as possible AND I do have cancer.
p.s. -- In 7 days there will be the 2nd FULL MOON of the month and my bicycling goal will be to ride 100 miles.
p.p.s. -- My cancer AND BIKE ACCIDENTS are reeking havoc on my body but I'm still getting my ass in gear as a 73yo Unique Eunuch due to Prostate Cancer.

I found turning 50 to be the hardest. At 30 I think I was still eager to be a "real adult". It kind of bothered me when I turned 40, but not really. 50 hit me really hard. By the time I turned 60, it was no big deal again. Is it resignation, maturity, wisdom now? I'm not sure. But at 50....there's just something about the reality of that time of life.
