WTB Tall Centurion frame (25" ish)
Or more correctly, my friend wants to buy one and is new to the world of vintage bike purchases. He's a tall fella like me and has a '78 Centurion Lemans 62cm. It's too small and he tried to size up and accidentally nought an identical 62cm Centurion Lemans (oops). He's sent me other ads too and I'm a little concerned he make the mistake a third time.
I've told him that finding a specific vintage frame in an unusual size takes patience, money, or flexibility (I've shown him various Panasonics, Miyatas, Treks, etc. He's set on a Centurion).
So I thought I'd check here. Got something tall laying around?

I know you said he’s not interested, but tell him to get a MUSA Trek 620 in 65cm size. Just try it, at least. Now where did I just see one of those….

How tall is your friend? I keep buying 25" frames, knowing they are 25" frames, and hoping they will work. Ultimately they are all too small and someday I'll learn 26.5" frames are best for me. If he is 6'5" or over this may be what your friend is looking for.

I'd love for him to go the Trek route, but until then I'm looking out for a Centurion for him.

Try it this way - https://offerup.com/item/detail/1115318652
It needs the "h" at the start ... I've lost track of how many times I've accidentally shortened a url ...

Turns out he's pickier than me and he really wants an older Centurion. It keeps getting harder and harder... His current model is the 1978 style, but I think he'd go for the 1979-1983 pinstriped ones.
I'm scared that the OfferUp one is too small. He already has two frames that are 62cm CTC and he really needs a 65cm at the smallest.
I want to say a thank you to everyone for the continued search! I'm combing every day for a frame for him, because I really don't want him to make the same mistake again.

That's a nicer frame that what he's looking for, and I wish he'd go for it!
