Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SRAM Red BB30 Crankset Experiences?

Complaints? Wish you bought Force? Air it here so I can benefit from your mistakes/knowledge and pick the right crankset.

I read that the outer ring on Red cranksets was flexy (a la RBReview) but the posts were dated by a significant amount of road-groupset time. I am in the market for a new crankset and want to get a feel of how pleased (pissed off) people are with theirs.

the initial version of Red (way before the BB30) had flex problems, but that's been remedied. overall they're well esteemed.

I love mine. I don't really notice any flex and I'm about 200 lbs. I was initially concerned because I'd read about problems but the LBS told me it was a good choice and I haven't looked back.

Definitely no flex on mine. A very noticeable improvement in stiffness over my previous ultegra 6600 crankset.
