Excellent. Lots of good suggestions and advice. My first organized ride of the year, one that I have never done before, is the McClinchy Mile. Planning on doing the 100k route as it is early in the season and I am still getting my legs under me. Definitely looking forward to the ride though.
I do need some rides for July. I have a tone in June and August, but not as so many in July.

And if you miss one, get a group of friends together and follow the lion markings on the road.
Most are pretty short. Say 50 miles or so. But they do hit a couple of hills, which make up for the lack of distance.

For those of you who participated in the Skagit Spring Classic on the weekend, what a great ride. Awesome weather. Well supported. Nice riders. And a great spaghetti feast after. Looking forward to the ride next year.

Tour De Fronds: besides being a great PUN on Tour de France, this is a full day well supported bike ride/rally deep in the Coast Ranges/Siskiyous of Southern Oregon. Follows the south fork of the Coquille river, prime fishing and hunting area with lots of scenery. Some modest climbing on short routes; steep climbs on the full day rides up to Agness Pass and the saddles over toward Glendale (which used to be part of the ride years ago but is no longer.

Sadly, this is the last year that there will be a Cycle Oregon "classic" ride. If you can swing it, I'd suggest doing it. As someone else mentioned, it isn't cheap at $1450 for new registrants. And that doesn't include tent and porter service, nor your transportation costs to get to the ride. I've never done the ride as I could never afford it. This year I could've afforded it, but was planning a backpacking trip in Yosemite, which, as it turns out, I may not be doing due to some foot issues that have popped up. I was figuring that Cycle Oregon has been around for 30 years, so I can just save up for next year. Kinda bummed about that, but it is what it is.

Concur. Many STPs for me, but age has caught up to my ability to get in the necessary miles. Maybe one day again on a tandem.
Gone now is RAPSody (Ride Around Puget Sound.) That was a 2 day-er and way better run than STP. Good food, and a more challenging route.
I understand Flying Wheels no longer does the loop up Stillwater. Bunch bubbas back there apparently objected to our use of "their road" and salted it with tacks. FW is fun, and a nice varied route you can do by yourself about anytime.

[That the Mt. Baker Hill Climb Ride542 is back is good to see. I thought it long gone after Charlie stopped producing it. Did several of those, including one not to be forgotten epic in sleet.
