650b x 2.0 Tire Options
I want to try the WTB Horizon tires on my Traitor Wander but after looking around I've found quite a few options that are similar in dimensions but at lower prices... Is WTB charging more for the "Road Plus" branding?
Aside from suppleness (and any debate around that) shouldn't the below tires all perform relatively similar given they will all be high volume, low pressure?
$50 WTB Horizon 650b x 48mm (1.89")
$40 Schwalbe Big Ben HS 650b x 2"
$38 Maxxis Refuse 650b x 2"
$30 WTB ThickSlick 650b x 1.9"
$16 CST Caldera 27.5 x 2"

Most of the tires you listed are 50mm (ideally) whereas the Horizons are 47mm. 3mm may not seem like much but going any bigger can result in clearance issues for many bikes (especially the ones listed on the WTB Road Plus page). Since you mentioned 2.0 I'm guessing that is not an issue, however the added sizes come at the cost of weight. The Horizons are 515g and in comparison the Big Bens are 745g for the Performance and 835g for the basic version.
Oh and tubeless, that's a thing too since those aren't tubeless ready. (Except for the Re-Fuse, which are 100g heavier than the Horizons)

I ordered a pair so I guess I'll find out how the Horizons are...
