Your opinion on a major upgrade
I have a 2013 Fuji Sportif 1.3, bone stock other than upgraded rims. I have found a 2011 Fuji SL 2.0 carbon frame at a local shop. The frame looks great and has no issues. I can get the frame for less than $300, and they will swap all the components for a minimal fee. So my question is, should I go the carbon route?

You're always going to want the bike you don't have. If you can afford to burn the money in a literal fire, get it. You you may like it and notice a significant difference, or you may not. Without riding it first, it's a gamble

Does the frame fit you? is it $300 worth lighter than your 1.3? Do you like the much racier geometry?
Personally ... yes, I think I'd do it ... depending entirely on the weight and condition of the carbon frame. But it seems you have a 22-ish-lb aluminum bike with decent gear. You would be getting a what? 20-ish-lb carbon bike with an unknown history?
I can't find a weight for the bike online, but I haven't read any bad reviews.

Try and find a comparable frame to ride and see if you can ride it. If there is a great difference in the ride and you like it way more, than do it.
Personally I have a CF bike and a 45 year old Italian steel bike, I ride the steel and use the CF bike as back up. I just like the steel better but I'm certainly in the minority.
