Name a brand...

Hi everyone,
I'm bored and sitting here on my Chesterfield I started thinking about the more obscure brands I've encountered since starting work in a bike shop near forty years ago...back in the mid '80's.
I'll only name one brand of component and leave the rest to you who are just as bored as I am and have nothing better to do on this raw, winter day.

Anpi. (I have an Anpi seatpost, labeled Made in Spain, a cheap copy of a Campagnolo/Campy two-bolt post.)

Atox - small plastic hip flask-style bottle, perfectly sized and shaped to conceal in your jersey pocket for that semi-legal atomic boost you needed in the final 20 kilometers of a 1980's Belgian classic.

"B" and "C": Cyclo/Benelux - the derailleurs on my first 10-speed that I got in 1962, a Raleigh Blue Streak. Came with two Coloral bottles in T.A. handlebar cages, so there's another "C."

"D" Delta Electric Co.: "Rocket Ray" and "Super Rocket Ray" headlights, "Gangway" electric horn.

"E": Elvish bikes.

"F": Freschi bikes.

"G": Gian Robert.

"H": Helyett - my first bike with tubulars, which I got in 1964.

Genesis. Wally World brand, or used to be. Can't remember if it had a Shimano groupset or not.

The e-moped market is overstunk with odd no names: macwheel mukkpet, pexmor, oraimo, meachow, himiway, ancheer, astiromotor...and none of those are "fake" technically they are all brands that exist probably mostly on Amazon with Alibaba and his 40 thieves but I have seem them in real life. It is probably mostly all the same exact "bike" from the same sweatshop in China.

Jupiter Beat. I've found mentions of them with hexagonal tubing, but the bike I'm riding has round tubing.

Last summer I was out on a ride and broke a pedal axle. 50 year old pedals. I pedaled one footed to a local bike shop. Asked if they could help me out. Bought a new pair of pedals but I had forgotten my cranks were French threaded. The mechanic was befuddled. He then made a phone call to somebody and started naming the parts on my bike.....
Lyotard... pedals
Huret...derailleurs
Zeus...cranks
Ended up tapping the threads on the Zeus cranks to 9/16" standard.

Coda.

IIRC, my first touring bike (cannondale T 700( had a Coda crank, saddle and pedals. The pedals crapped out during a 7 week tour in Andalucia. I was lucky to be able to make it to Cordoba, where I found a bike shop.

Tunturi. Made in Finland. They don’t make bicycles anymore…I think they stopped making bikes in the early 80s…but they still make stationary fitness equipment. I have an old Tunturi road bike that I still ride frequently, like the one pictured (that’s not mine).

Looks like they're back in the bike business.

In the mid 70's there was a bike club in the quad city area that was sponsered by John Deere. A few guys had their frames painted JD green with yellow lettering. Definitely stood out in races.
