[Cargo trike] Recommended alternative to cheap AA lights?
Hello,
Instead of pulling juice from the battery that powers the motor, Babboe made the choice of selling its pedelec trikes with cheap AA-powered lights.
What would you recommend as a stronger light — trike = city; People mostlly need to be seen, but occasionally need to see in unlighted areas — that would last at least a couple of weeks between recharging?
Thank you.

I like NiteRider headlights. I've tried others -- Light & Motion, Serfas, etc. But the NiteRider Lumina series are very good values with a much handier quick mount/release than most others I've tried. NiteRider Lumina lights also have a small extended hood across the top, which prevents some overhead spill.
And the Lumina Dual 1800 has the extended hood plus a properly designed lens to shape the wide, oval beam. But it's pricey and heavy. Probably overkill for some riding, but I like it for longer fast rides at night so I can watch both road edges for deer and other critters.
I also have a smaller, lighter single LED Lumina Micro 750 that's good for rides up to about an hour. And it'll hold a charge quite awhile between uses, although I always recharge between uses since most of my night rides are at least an hour.
