Been a while since I posted a pic of my tank. It's getting more and more French Constructeur inspired.
Added new cages and a bell yesterday. Sewed the leather on them myself after I saw the same thing on the VO Blog. I love this bike. It's my car, and almost my best friend.
More pics if you click the link in my signature.

I'd go with brown bar tape and gum hoods, myself, but that Surly is sweet!

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Mebbe we will pass each other as we don't live too far from each other... we'll need a sign to identify each other though.

Saturday we're going to Red bike (to test ride a touring bike for me) so maybe we'll wander over to EBC too.

Selle An-Atomica. Amazingly comfortable but seems to be delaminating after 5000 miles or so. Too bad because otherwise it's the nicest saddle I've ever ridden.

I will probably be riding this bike tomorrow... it is hard to miss as it is one of the oldest working bikes in the city and is rather unique.

Just a teaser shot of my new project bike being cleaned. It's assembled and working great, but I don't have assembled pics yet. Also, I'm waiting on a Wald Basic Rack in chrome.

New to me, Raleigh F500 aluminum police bike from our local department. I reached a point with my other bike (78-79 Schwinn) that doing much more would be a wash. Rather than try to cobble new parts onto a 30 year old frame (though I know some have done it well) and modernize it as best could, I felt it better to invest in a decent used bike with the parts and gearing I wanted. Found this at a LBS that carries used stock:
Raleigh F500 aluminum police bike from the local department. Looks pretty good, though the paint is a little worn from use. Good components on it, sun rino rim in back (I think the front rim is a replacement), front suspension fork and suspension seat post. I have a sprung Brooks saddle, so I will look for a rigid seat post tomorrow. Might switch the fork out later on as well. Swapped my bar as well for a trekking bar I had. My only glitch were the trigger shifters. They won't work with my grips and bars, so I put a set of cheap friction thumb shifters on. I'll head to the co-op tomorrow to rerun all the cables.

fredified the mtb for commuting on. Slicks, fenders, flashlight for headlight, and cheap bell bag for the seat.
