...and sold new in the late 70's and early 80's for upwards of $700. Suteki is a company that got its start at a bad time, although they were very high end bikes back then, not enough people were buying bicycles for them to stay in business.

Vintage 1985 19" TREK 620 TOURING Bike - $350 (Eagle Rock/Pasadena)

For sale is a classic 1985 Trek 620 touring bicycle. As a rough guide, the 19" frame can fit someone from 5'4" to 5'8". Very nice condition with a few scratches. No dents or dings.
This is a TRUE TOURING bike, with relaxed geometry, long chainstays, braze-ons for front and rear racks, ultra low gearing, triple water bottle mounts, etc. Includes rare matching Blackburn Expedition rack and water bottle cages. A notable feature is the FULL Reynolds 531CS frameset, including the fork! The Trek 620 was made for only 3 years and is one model above the highly regarded 520. 1985 model is most sought after year because the chainstays is 47 cm which is the longest on touring bike made by Trek (same as model 720). Hand made in the USA.
Compare it to the popular Surly Long Haul Trucker or current Trek 520 ...both are mass produced in Taiwan, made out of 4130 chrome moly and don't have the beautiful lugs. (they also cost 3 to 4 times as much ;-)

Components range from Huret Duplar in the rear to Suntour front,TA tripple drilled out cranks, center pull brakes, ergo bars, weinman concave rims. With the exception of dried out brake hoods the bike could pass as new.
