To and from my office--not much distance--twice today. But at least it was on a bike!

did you ride today

No ride today. Winds have been 20+ mph all day long and I didn't get that much sleep last night.

33 miles this afternoon. It would've been 42/45 miles if I hadn't to deal with a phone call that kept me from riding for about 40 minutes minutes.

45 minutes on the trainer this AM. It's raining outside with high winds as well. Will likely be on the trainer tomorrow as there is a chance of snow in the morning.

Did 9.1 miles today which gives me 176.3 miles for my first month of riding. Beautiful day today. Next month, though it is shorter, I will try to do more miles if the weather isn't too bad.

We got out for another 24 miles today on our local MUP. Best January ever, only missed riding one day the 3rd. The total mileage for January was 756 miles of which 500 were on the new bikes. Ah, you gotta luv living in Florida this time of year.

Did 24 Wednesday on the single, 22 Tuesday on the tandem. We've got a stretch of good weather so I should be able to build things back up. I've got 66 planned for Saturday; we'll see how the climbing goes.

did you ride today

Today's winds were as bad as yesterday but I wasn't missing another ride. 30 hard miles but I felt great afterward.

Almost 30 miles in 30 degree, 17 mph winds in Boston. Garmin read 14.5, but lots of stops on Mass Ave due to lights and traffic and a stop for air in the rear tire. Minuteman trail is where the MPH goes up....

Started February with 10.4 miles. Nice day, cool but sunny. I have started a new policy with this month, I'm reporting my bike computer miles. Strava is almost always a tenth of a mile less and often loses one or two tenths as it is up loaded (ie: today computer was 10.4, Strava App was 10.2, uploaded to 10). That could be three or four miles a month and when your numbers are as low as mine you need all the help you can get.

Another very windy 30 mile ride today. After two day's of battling high winds for most of the ride, I'm worn out. It will be early to bed tonight.

32 miles yesterday with temps in the low 50's, 10 mph winds, enjoyed the ride. Today was 40 miles, mid 30's, same winds but much more difficult. I may rest tomorrow. I got in over 500 miles in January which was more than I had planned - good start to 2013.

22degF today, sunny, fairly calm winds, did a nice 10 mile ride. No more snow anywhere, rain this week washed it all away. Glad to see that but the skiers and snowmobilers are mad.

33 miles today. I felt like I was riding through Jello today. It wasn't horribly windy but the ride seemed a struggle anyway.

30 miles in perfect riding weather. Temps between 68-70 degrees, 5-7 mph winds and very low humidity.

Tomorrow morning's ride will head for the beaches. Should be another great day.

I've had the same problems as John with the winds in S Florida this week that have just been brutal. Got in 32 miles this morning as the winds died down a bit. It's still better than at my home in NY where the average wind chill the past week has the temperature in the teens everyday. My kids hate me when it's that cold in NY and i'm in Florida.
