The electrical tape actually looks clean, I might do something similar with my bike for when I have my drops on. I have horns as well, which i prefer, but they're just the stock ones that came with my Dawes. I still love them though.

Shane, do you ride the tops of the dawes handlebars where it angles downward? I've never paid much attention to those syntace stratos type bars but now I'm thinking they may be more natural on your wrist than the traditional flat section on a bullhorn.

Yes I do. There are multiple hand positions I find quite comfy.

well.. in terms of barspins.. you'll need a new fork. Clearances are tight on the kilo.

W/e it is - I don't like it.

Anybody with black frames (or any color) notice orange peel on the paint? I have a noticeable amount on the top fork crown. Not something you want to see every time you jump on the bike.

Stock wheels arrived out of true. Front wheel is much worse than the rear.

My stock wheels were really straight out of the box and still are. As far as paint goes, I find the finish on my gold KTT to be nearly flawless aside from a tiny, nearly unnoticeable drip on the bottom of my BB shell (it looks as though the bike was painted silver and then a transparent yellow applied over that to make the gold).

Overall, I'm pretty stoked about BD and my Kilo.

Just got my KTT in the mail and was stoked to put it together but I quickly realized I had a faulty fork. The left fork ends was dented in causing the opening to be way too narrow. Bummer.

Ive emailed BD and hopefully will get this resolved soon. Im still an excited customer and wanted to keep you posted on how this played out.

Cheers.

they'll send you a new fork, no problem. It's happened a lot with forks, track ends, etc.

I got my Kilo TT Pro exactly like that. I would suggest you to pm bikesdirect_com. I tried emailing customer service, they are going to offer you $25 refund for you to fix it yourself.. meaning unbending it which is unacceptable. Take my advice and talk to Mike (bikesdirect_com) or it's going to take you forever to get it resolved. They emailed me at a rate of one email per 1-2 days. My fork is currently being shipped. Basically I bought the bike during the last week of August and I am still unable to ride my brand new bike until I get my replacement fork this Thursday.

Word? Yea, theres no way I will take $25 to ride a compromised bike. Thanks for the tip.

Find me a cross fork with the right dimensions. I would love to put a disc on my Kilo. Every cross fork I look at is heavy and has the wrong crown to axle length...

Update: Less than 24 hours after messaging, I got a response from Mike regarding the dented fork. Took my info down and says he's sending out a new fork. Gotta love that customer service!

Will update when it comes through. Cheers
