can bike frames paired with boxes of designated parts count as actual bikes? how about time travelling bikes that aren't actually mine yet, but someday will be, even though current owners are under the misbegotten impression that they will never sell them?

All of those especially count as they are a most important part of a far grander, even more diabolical plan.

At the moment, my husband has more bikes than I do, mostly because I keep finding deals that cannot be passed up. The deal is, we buy it, we must ride it. Just today he got to ride the newest find, something I found while we were on vacation. '87 Miami Vice Ironman. We have been riding together since we were 12, so it is very much a mutual passion!

motochick - I love those Miami Vice Ironmans!
If you and the hubby vacation in Oregon and want to take home a momento of the trip, I could certainly add to your collection. I’m in downsizing mode. (Except for the $60 Raleigh with a broken frame dripping with D-A parts. Couldn’t pass that up. I’m a hypocrite but not an idiot.)

I think this is a trick question.
But I'm really not sure.
