I am more partial to "classic bikes", you know, traditional geometry, steel, etc.
But this one is REALLY NICE! Great wheels BTW, I had a pair of Ventos and I think they are amazing wheels for the price..

You want to see classic too? How about these? The Davidson I had custom built for me about 25 years ago, the Zilioli, as far as I know, is unique in the U.S. as it was never exported from Italy. It is 23 years old. The theory from some folks who have seen it is that the Zilioli was actually built by Bianchi and badged by Zilioli, but I was at his shop and I think they were made in his hometown of Cuneo.

Both are almost all original, except for the obvious, such as the wheels on the Davidson, and the Look pedals, but I still have all of the original components. The Davidson has one paint chip, the Zilioli has none.

And one other thing, I switched between riding both of them the entire time I had them up until last weekend, when I ordered the Kuota. I last rode the Zilioli in November, when I mostly stopped riding for the winter. The Davidson was set up to go, so I used it whenever the weather cooperated in the last few months.

It was my front porch, and no I won't be leaving it out there. I was nervous about going inside the door just to get the camera. We can't even leave cheap plastic furniture out there without it "walking" off. I'm nervous about keeping the bike inside the house and I may resort to locking it up inside, although we haven't had any problems over the years with break-ins. But this is Brooklyn after all.

Just fer the record here...I have an older Motiv RockPoint 18-speed outfitted with a newer "spring-loaded" seat post with a Schwinn Gel seat cover over a nice saddle I got recently. Nothing like riding in pure comfort after subjecting my rump to agony. Got it a few years back (2003?) fer $20 at a local yard sale. Also, it has a nice rear-mounted carrying-rack type of fixture that holds small loads.

Sure wish I could find a better front control bar fer it...any ideas???

Sure is. They have the one in the second room all built up with Dura-ace on the stand. That's what convinced me to go for it.

Hello everybody,

this is my first posting and i would like to share my rig with all of you. The picture was taken right after assembling the bike. It is size 54 Orbea Orca with DuraAce, carbon parts from FSA and Zeus (Orbea brand). Total weight with pedals is at 7,4 kg.
I am writing a small review about this bike and when its ready i will post it.

here's my commuter, and my new one i just had put together. both are my prized possesions. nothing unique but i love 'em. oh and the schwinn is a classic with all original parts. I'm thinking of getting a beater track for commutes cuz the schwinn i love too much to have it stolen by any number of jackasses running around brooklyn.

yeah...bontrager race wheels... couldn't afford anything more than that right now. They are actually really nice, stiff and relatively light. I don't see any problems with them, came from the manufacturer tensioned and true. so far i recommend bontragers for sure.

nope just the race...told ya i was cheap... not by choice, i just can't afford anything for now...that bike went over budget, but still cheaper than anything around that weight

I bought a mid 70's Schwinn Tempo to ride in Texas, it's all 105 components, steel frame and the infamous Biopace system.
So far I can't complain, it seems to ride fine.
