Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have gotten so absolutely sick and tired of black marks on my leg and clothes and door handles and cleaning that crap up.

Today I bought:
-2x bags molten speed wax
-Mini crock pot cooker
-Medium sized heated ultrasonic cleaner
-a spare chain for all 3 bikes

I'm going to super clean all the chains, including removing the factory lube gunk, then speed wax all 6. Have the other 3 as spares. All connected by quick links.

I AM SO FREAKING DONE with the whole getting super nasty all the time with chain lubes.

We'll see how it goes.

26" Velocity Dually wheel set

I am anxiously awaiting delivery - going to try them on my 2015 AWOL with Rat Trap Pass 2.3 tires - should be interesting - internal rim width of 39mm. For sizing I installed an old set of 26" MTB wheels with 2.3" tires mounted onto the AWOL. It looks a little ridiculous and I like it!

Most people learn how to keep their leg from touching the chain.

I can't remember the last time it happened to me.

^This^

Seems like SO much work and extra $ to avoid showering and cleaning a little grime off you.
I occasionally get chain grime off me, but, I just wipe it off. lol

I understand why some people choose wax(I don't with them), but avoiding a CAT 5 tattoo has to be the worst reason.

What if you could gain a few watts on the TT bike AND make the wife happy by not transferring black tar bike lube all over the house. Win win.

It's a shame they removed the breast pocket. It was a great place to put a phone.
