Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am pretty flattered that an older picture of my bike keeps showing up in this thread, while not used appropriately, it is nice to see on occasion.

Non road material? I ride mine exclusively on the road. Hasn't seen any track time since I bought the frame and it was built up.

What's up with the levers? Talk about shameful....
But who am I to talk? Not only do I have levers, I actually have a brake, and a bar mounted bottle cage.

eh, I have a bike with levers, gears, brakes, and a cage on the down tube.. & I don't know if bars are the best place for your bottle... I set it up like that for a century ride; levers gave you another place to put your hands.. that was a long time ago, when some of us younger guys were indulging in the fixed bike craze. I still miss this bike.

quick someone post a fire roadie!

Just two different builds by two different people. This LBS is build an impressive number of custom Allezs. Each one is very different. People are having fun with these bikes and playing off the color schemes. Cant wait to see what people do with the other colors.

The zebra bartape looks nice with the fork. I might switch when I have the bars re wrapped.

You fool, people with $200M know full well how to buy you for $50. No matter what they let you believe up front, you're ending up $50.

4/29/2015. Yup, you sure did.

I don't have a white garage door to park it in front of, so a white wall will have to do.

Wait, so is the zebra print fork standard issue? And the purple paint?

Interesting.

Allez DSW SL Sprint Frameset - Limited Edition

https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bi...ition-i/125946

for only $1200, you can buy an aluminum frameset that looks like a Fremont Street hooker.
