3/2: 33.59 miles. Went down in a minor low speed, “where did that gravel come from?!” and “Is my bike okay?” moment. Road rash.

Hi folks, I’ve been off my bikes since last October due to knee pain.
I’ve dealt with knee pain issues for the past few years , but nothing like this .
I think the increased pain was a side effect from some meds I’ve been taking for stomach issues.
two weeks ago I cut back from the prescription strength to OTC strength and the pain has gotten better .
A week ago I started slowly trying to ride again . First only short mile long rides , then two and today I rode for 3.4 miles .
I’ve ridden fifteen miles total so far this month .
I hope to get back to riding 100 miles per month .
The knees actually feel better today than they did before I started back riding .

my goal is 100 , but if I can get 50+ this month I’ll be happy and go for the 100 next month . March goal 50+

3/3 - 9.2 miles - Fuji
3/4 - 17.4 miles - Trek FX2
3/8 - 6.3 miles - Trek FX2
3/12 -12.5 miles - Fuji
3/13 - 12.9 miles - Fuji
3/14 - 16.0 miles - Fuji
3/17 - 16.1 miles - Trek FX2 (7.1 mi) + Trek 830 (9.0 mi)

Started out today on the FX2, about 4 miles in I started hearing a noise in the front end. Got off the bike, couldn't find the source of the noise - so I rode home and went back out on the Trek 830.

March to date: 90.4 miles

2024 to date: 386.9 miles


2024 Goal: 2,000 miles

All my miles are outdoor miles.
Think OUTSIDE! No box required.

Sun came out and the temps got up to upper 50’s and I was able to get in a short ride .
Hope I can do a MUP ride sometime this week .

sunny and 70 when I finished my ride today . Beautiful day.

Rain predicted this Friday and Saturday so I when I got to my turnaround I went straight and rode into town .
Like Forrest , I just kept going.
rode to the Town Museum and old Confederate Cemetery on my favorite bike . My Schwinn CrossCut single speed conversion.

Got out there as soon as the temperature hit 60 and was able to get in a three mile sprint before the rain rolled in , to keep my daily streak going .
The pollen was a thick cloud blowing around in the wind.
I’ve been sneezing since I finished my ride .
