Sometimes SF can be a little disturbing
So I was on this monthly ride that shall remain nameless and we were heading down 7th street south of market (where all the crack heads hang out).
This guy darts across the street and starts dodging bikes. Then he drops something and the guy next to me runs over it. We both looked down and saw what it was but it didn't register until about 5 seconds later. He dropped his pocket knife with the blade drawn. He was holding it in his hand and heading across the street when he dropped it.
Nice.

I was bombing down Polk towards Market a few weeks ago and a guy was crossing from the left side of the street to my side, and when he saw me he starts running full tilt at me as if he was going to cross check me. I didn't spook due to being incredibly food drunk (Mekong Thai, mmm), but later a friend told me the same thing happened to him that night.

That happed to a friend of mine riding down Turk the other day. A group of guys just started chasing him. Maybe they just wanted to be friends.

Once my mom's co-worker was walking down market around 6th or 5th and a bunch of hypodermic needles came clattering down from a window and landed right next to him.

When I worked in the tenderloin I had the privilege of watching a crackhead hit a dealer across the face twice with a fist, then pick him up and drop him on his head/neck. The crackhead screamed and proceeded down an alley where he slapped a female crackhead. That was some sh*t.

When I was 20 I lived under a bridge around 4th and market and worked at Einstein's. I've seen the best the TL and Market have to offer.
