ok. i'm a total idiot.
so i was just practicing some no handed trackstands in my room before bed. i fell. my bike got caught on my bed, and my weight hit the rear wheel, taco'ing it.
now my wheel looks like this and my head hurts from hitting the corner of my desk.
i'm really still in shock that my stupidity accomplished this. fixable?

give me a break. i just spent five hours reading a book written in 1880 about ku-klux klan violence... in its original form for a quiz tomorrow. then i wrote a research paper on southern sentiment post-fredericksburg campaign.
being a history major sucks sometimes.
and then before i did this act of negligence i smoked a fatty to my dome and ate some enchiladas... so i wasn't in top form.

Look on the bright side. Now you've got a taco to go with those enchiladas.

Clean your floors. Please.
Sorry about your bike man; glad you're okay.
Now seriously, clean your floors.

Take the wheel and slam it against the ground hitting it where the taco'ed part is ****'ed up.
Do this right and you won't even have to adjust the spokes or true the wheel.
Now I'm gonna go OUTSIDE and do a no handed track stand.

Well, at least I feel better about flying over my handlebars yesterday after having read this.
Moral of my story is: Don't forget that your new bike has bullhorns and an Ultegra brake caliper where your old bike had drops and a beatup, barely functional 1970s brake caliper.
Moral of the OP's story: Say no to drugs??

Darn you. We aren't allowed to keep bikes in our dorm rooms here. And even if we could, there's no room.

but yeah, it's not a suicide hub. and no i don't want to buy a new wheel now.
i'm getting a new wheelset for my iro in may, so i'd rather just fix this one and ride on it until i get my new wheel. i'm pretty sure i'll be able to fix it.
oh, and i'm waiting until i move out in three weeks to clean my floors.

atleast you didn't kill yourself, leaving your flatmates to find the decaying remains of what would have been the stoopidest death evar.
instead we can all laugh [with you] about it. [because anyone who's played with rollers has done similar]

my first two thoughts were probably because of the nylon toe clips(which was a joke but so are nylon toe clips) and that this is proof that you should ride outside instead of practicing looking cool inside
